Working as a Resource Specialist for CVESD and through her own tutoring business, Sue has enjoyed over 20 years in the field of special education and dyslexia. Her passion for dyslexia advocacy and intervention started early because her own father struggled to read and write. She always knew that someone could have difficulty with literacy, even though they were brilliant and extremely capable in many other areas. She soon learned that, for someone with dyslexia, specialized instruction was the key to the world of literacy. Her mission is to help bring awareness and understanding of the best practices and supports for dyslexics.
Sue is the mother of five children and has also taught piano for over 40 years. She was raised in Pacific Beach (a lifelong San Diegan) and has lived in Chula Vista for over 25 years. Sue loves music, building relationships with her students and spending time with family and friends.
